How It All Began

Garden rooms and trade Show stands like the one shown above built by Guardian Exhibition And Display, are constructed in a very similar way.

From time to time, we get asked how Evergreen Garden Rooms came into being.

So, here's the story.

Evergreen Garden Rooms is a trading arm of Guardian Exhibition and Display.

Guardian is an exhibition stand-building company that has been trading successfully for thirteen years.

However, in the first quarter of 2020, the exhibitions and events industry closed for eighteen months in compliance with COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.

Practically overnight, a vast industry ceased operating worldwide.

When it became clear that closure was a long-term problem, Anthony Booty, Guardian's Managing Director, urgently sought new opportunities to apply the company's design and building skills.

And that's how Evergreen Garden Rooms came into being.

Anthony saw that the principles of building exhibition stands and garden rooms are very similar.

And with most of the UK's workforce confined to home, there was a huge need and demand for home office space.

Also, garden rooms and exhibition stands are remarkably similar in construction.

Both use modular components and frames around which the walls are built.

The materials used are very different.

Steel frames and long-lasting timber cladding replace aluminium and fabric exhibition stand components.

One shared, and massive value is design.

We wanted our garden rooms to look as good as our highly successful exhibition stands.

The design and the quality of materials we use have been a critical part of Evergreen Garden Room's success.

Plus, we also have an install team well used to working under the pressure of exhibition deadlines.

It means Evergreen clients benefit from shorter build times with minimal intrusion into their daily lives.

Nearly three years on, Evergreen Garden Rooms is still a young business, so we only build for clients in Essex or within areas bordering the county.

If you live in that catchment area, we would be delighted to provide you with a free site survey.
